Mario C. Massa de Campos

PhD in Engineering and worked at PETROBRAS Research Center for more than 35 years, having participated in several R&D projects, Basic Engineering, tool development, implementation and assisted start-ups of automation systems, regulatory and advanced control and optimization for oil industry plants.

He was a guest professor in several courses. Recently received the “2021 Achievement Award” from ISEAM (international society of engineering asset Management) during its 15th WCEAM 2021 world congress. Winner of the Plínio Cantanhede Award in 2008 and also in 2012 from the Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas and Biofuels (IBP). He is co-author of three technical books in the area of automation, control and process optimization.

He is currently a founding partner of the Company SmartAutomation (www.smartpilot.com.br) which seeks to develop and implement systems for automation, control, monitoring, diagnosis and optimization of processes and equipment for the Industry, seeking to increase the profitability, availability and safety of industrial plants.
